Italy has stolen the heart of so many throughout history, making it no surprise that Italy continually tops the list of best countries in the world.  Boasting beautiful landscapes, incredible food and wine, and an amazing (and well-preserved) history, it is no wonder that people dream of Italy!

Rome engulfs visitors in history while still moving on with the modern world all around.  I remember coming out of the subway station by the Colosseum and being awe-struck by the sight that greeted me. There standing right before me in all its glory was the infamous Roman Colosseum.

This wasn’t the only time that I would have this feeling while in Rome. There is just so much history and Roman ruins surrounding you everywhere!

I loved just roaming the streets of Rome (no pun intended) wondering what historic treasure would await me at the next turn. There was such beauty in the artifacts and the city as a whole.
