You probably wonder why I tell you to visit a farm while on your Texas getaway?!

Well, that is because this is much more than your typical farm.

Sweet Berry Farm is truly a tourist attraction in the Texas Hill Country.

They always seem to have some seasonal event happening that welcomes visitors to the farm.

In the spring months, people flock to Sweet Berry Farm to participate in their “pick your own berries” promotion.

This time of year allows you to roam through the berry patch and search perfect strawberries and blackberries to take home!

In the summertime, the flower field at the farm comes alive with loads of beautiful sunflowers! These bright yellow beauties are the perfect photo op!

The largest event on the farm takes place in the month of October when the farm transforms for its fall festival.

The fall festivals welcome thousands of visitors from all over Texas to enjoy the activities they have going on.

You can search for the perfect pumpkins in their large pumpkin patch, stuff your own scarecrow, or go on a fun, family-friendly hayride.

The farm also features corn mazes, face painting, a petting zoo, and loads of arts and crafts taking place on the farm during the fall festival.

While admission to the farm and parking is free, you must pay for the specific activities you participate in.

The paid activities include picking berries, face painting, and scarecrow building.

Lakeside Park

Plan a visit to Lakeside Park for a fun and relaxing day in Marble Falls, TX.

Located on the shores of Lake Marble Falls, just minutes from downtown, Lakeside Park offers guests many entertainment options with a scenic lakeside view.

You can spend the day playing tennis or basketball on the park’s courses or cool off from the Texas sun in the swimming pool.

Of course, you can also bring a picnic lunch and relax under a shade tree if you would prefer!

No matter what you choose, Lakeside Park is a fabulous play to spend the day enjoying the outdoors and nature!

Johnson Park

Johnson Park is another nearby park that is a great place to spend some time outdoors.

Johnson Park is located near historic downtown Main Street and is the perfect place to exercise in Marble Falls.

Johnson Park provides visitors with hiking and biking trails, a boat ramp, a playground, and outdoor picnic areas, all on Lake Marble Falls.

You won’t have to search far for shade on the hot summer days as the park is full of mature trees.

This great park allows you to enjoy hours of outdoor recreation without having to venture outside of the city!

Shop Historic Downtown Marble Falls

Historic Downtown Marble Falls, TX, is a great afternoon place.

This area is brimming with history, art, shops, sculptures, and restaurants just waiting to be explored.

The downtown Marble Falls area is located just a couple of blocks from Marble Falls Lake, making this area easy to combine with other activities for the day.

The shops here range from fun, nostalgic candy stores to boutiques that sell gorgeous clothing and home goods.

An afternoon shopping trip to this area will allow you to shop at all of the fun boutique stores and sample gourmet chocolates and taste some wine!

This area of Marble Falls has so many great stores, all within a few blocks of each other.

Also, in this area, you will find some sculpture installations and fun, interactive musical instruments at Harmony Park on Main Street.

Of course, all of that shopping will work up an appetite.

Luckily, there are several restaurants to choose from in and near downtown.

If you’re in the mood, get your food and head to one of the parks for a scenic picnic lunch down by Lake Marble Falls.

The Blue Bonnet Cafe has been serving fabulous southern food to locals and visitors in Burnet County since 1929!

Located a few blocks from Lake Marble Falls, the Blue Bonnet Cafe welcomes you with an all-day breakfast menu!

If you aren’t the type that eats breakfast in the afternoon or evening, don’t worry; they also serve delicious Texas comfort food!

While all of the food at the Blue Bonnet Cafe is delicious, it is their famous mile-high meringue pies and yummy cream pies that keep people coming back for more!

That makes sense, though, since they are a meat company.

Visitors to Longhorn Cavern State Park are invited to join the park guides on a guided walking tour of the underground cave to learn about the history of this cool geological feature.

The cavern is home to Eastern Pipistrelle bats, so be on the lookout for them during your tour.

You will likely see several hanging around during your guided tour, so be on the lookout.
